Hi,

i have been reading the comments on the benefits between proctor and supar spar masts.

I brought my Ent about a year ago and it has a Needlespar Mast and boom, but desipite best efforst I cannot find any information to help with set up or tunning for this particular mast.

can anybody offer any advice or point me in the direction of where I might get some.

Thanks

I don't have any measurements that could help, but the maker of your sails may have some information. Failing that why not set the mast rake somewhere in the region of 21' 2" and adjust the spreaders until you have the same prebend recommended by your sailmaker (so the curvature of the mast fits the sail. If the boat is old don't use 400lbs rig tension. 280lbs should be fine.

The Needlespar boom is light, stiff and strong.

Tim
