Many thanks to Tony Woods for coming up with the idea of a Match Racing event and Etherow for their hospitality on Saturday. Etherow provided the boats, a crew if you didn't have one, hot tea on arrival and delicious home made soup after racing. And all for £1. The day was greatly enjoyed by all. Lots of very short races (2 beats and a run). It was decided at the AGM which followed that Steve Blackburn must now be the Nation Enterprise Match Racing Champion.

Don't forget the The Enterprise Match Racing Championship @ Etherow. Nov 8th 2008 I'm not telling to many, they may want to come and beat the champ.

Steve has got the date wrong. The match racing will be held on Saturday 22nd of November.
Here is the advert for the event. Suspect the event maybe over subscribed. So you must let Tony Woods know if you intend to sail (no problem if you just go along to watch). Remember the AGM is held after the match racing.

Draw for league lots to take place at 12.30.

Fantastic opportunity for some fast tactical racing.
