I have been thinking about the bronze fleet and relised we just don't get enough sailors qualifying. It would be great if we could have an award to anybody sailing one or even two opens who has improved. It would also be great if the clubs would put forward a sailor for nomnation in their Open from last years results. It may encourage more sailors. As I have read, the people who do win awards. want to win more and keep on winning. The bronze fleet works well. There is one sailor who is so proud of winning the bronze fleet at the naitonals. He just keeps taliking about it. We Should be helping people to improve their sailing and award these same people. Paul Plested posted the idea a year or so. The credit should go to him.
